Haiti Cultural Exchange HCX Haiti Film Fest May 11-14 2017

Returning for its 4th biennial year, HCX's Haiti Film Fest is a celebration of leaders and trailblazers in Haitian film. Taking place during Haitian Heritage Month in venues throughout Brooklyn, this festival will showcase the authentic soul of Haiti and its Diaspora through the lens of film. Featuring over 25 movies, along with panel discussions and networking receptions, the 2017 edition of Haiti Film Fest is one you won't want to miss!

Join HCX at our Opening Night Fundraiser to kick off Haiti Film Fest 2017! Opening Night will celebrate diverse depictions of Haiti on the silver screen and honor three creative leaders in Haitian cinema: Arnold Antonin, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and Rachelle Salnave. The evening will also feature two short films, "The Last Haiti: The Moving Portraits," by Steven Baboun and "Tezin," by Shirley Bruno, in addition to film montages highlighting the accomplishments of our three honorees.
